32 years of precision metal manufacturing

From watch components to all-metal pens: tolerances held by instruments, processes held in documents. This page states capability limits, not adjectives.

Manufacturing capability

Machining equipment

596

units. 271 for pre-processing (CNC and cam automatic machines), 65 for post-processing (Okada, Jingdiao, polishing, tumbling), 260 for inspection and measurement.

Share of inspection equipment

43%

260 inspection units, about 43% of all equipment — roundness and profile testers, 3D profilers, inline vision measurement, hardness testers, salt-spray, water-resistance and fatigue testers, high-magnification microscopes.

Dimensional tolerance

±0.01 mm

A capability carried over from the watch-component era. It is held by inspection equipment, not by operator feel.

Good yield at factory exit

96.3%

Share of finished goods released after the three-stage control process.

Return rate

0.5%

Returns within the 10-year warranty caused by anything other than misuse.

Warranty

10 年

On all 13 models in the range — barrel deformation, tip breakage, magnetic failure, thread jamming, abnormal anodizing.

Three-stage quality control

01

Before production

  • Tooling: separate tooling-standard documents per material, machine and product.
  • Programs: standard machining programs documented per machine.
  • Process routing: documented process files and operation sequences for each product family.
  • Inspection: standard inspection documents per product family.

02

During production

  • 72-hour S/L certification — S covers engineering (output stays conforming for 72 h after start-up), L covers production (conforming for 72 h after operator handover). Applied mainly to large-volume orders.
  • Grade 0–3 control: 0 exceeds expectation, 1 fully meets standard, 2 conforms with minor defects, 3 does not conform (quarantined). The focus is grade 2 — a firewall stops it from spreading into grade 3.

03

After production

  • Mature processes are documented so consistency does not depend on one individual.
  • Control documents are revised when customer requirements change, and training is updated to match.

How we got here

  1. Since 1951

    Watch components

We started on watch crowns, pushers and connectors — parts held to hundredths of a millimetre, verified by instrument rather than by eye. That history set our tolerance discipline.

  2. Since 1994

    Precision metal manufacturing

A dedicated factory for CNC turning, milling, grinding and surface finishing. The 596-unit machining and inspection base was built up layer by layer across these 32 years.

  3. Since 2023

    Our own brand, BTST

Before that we manufactured OEM / ODM for Japanese and international stationery houses. Since 2023 we sell under our own brand, defining form, structure and colour ourselves.
