Export Compliance: RoHS, ISO Certification and Market Access
The report numbers and certificates we actually hold, what each covers, and what you must confirm yourself.
2026-10-11
The thing export buyers fear most is a shipment held up at the border of its destination country. Compliance is not an abstraction — it is a set of document numbers and verifiable statements. This page lists the reports and certificates we actually hold, what each one covers, and what you still need to handle yourself.
1 · Material safety: the RoHS test report
Our 304 stainless tube stock is third-party RoHS tested, report no. U10202230519605-1E (May 2023). RoHS is the EU directive restricting hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, setting limits on lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium and other listed substances. Writing instruments are generally not in its mandatory scope, but as due-diligence material it demonstrates that your metal is not unverified reclaimed stock.
A 304 material certificate is available on request; silicone components used alongside carry their own RoHS documentation.
2 · Management systems: ISO9001 and ISO14001

Our Shenzhen manufacturing base holds ISO9001 quality management and ISO14001 environmental management certification, covering the first and second plants. The management system certification was first obtained in 2000; the currently valid versions are ISO9001:2008 and ISO14001:2004.
The practical value of these certificates is that quality control rests on traceable process documents rather than on one person's experience. When you take on a large-volume order, customer audits typically ask for system certificates, work instructions and inspection records — we have all three.
3 · Intellectual property: where registered and how to verify
Our designs and structures are registered in China, the EU and Japan:
- EU Registered Community Designs: 015074738-0001, 015074738-0002 (pen holder), 015086258-0001 (pen)
All three numbers can be checked in the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) public register. If you plan to further develop the product or apply for your own design in the EU, watch for other parties' design protection — which is why we ask you to state your intended use at the inquiry stage.
4 · What you need per destination
One point of clarity: compliance obligations depend on your destination and sales model, and we cannot decide the full scope for you. Below is what you can rely on from us, and what typically remains yours to confirm.
- Export from mainland China — the RoHS report and material certificate above support your due-diligence file.
- Export to the EU — the RoHS report is directly usable. The party responsible for placing products on the EU market (importer or authorised representative) is designated by you. We provide the EU design registration numbers so you can check IP status.
- Export to Japan and North America — Japan's material and safety requirements are close to the EU's, so our existing reports serve as a useful reference. For North America you should confirm local regulations separately, notably CPSIA if the product may be used by children under 12. If your product targets children, tell us at the inquiry stage and we will assess the applicable requirements separately.
5 · Situations you should flag
The following change which requirements apply. Please raise them in your inquiry:
- Will the product come into direct contact with food or the mouth?
- Is it sold to children, or likely to attract child use?
- Does it require electronic functions (which add requirements for powered products)?
- Does your destination country have specific packaging or labelling rules?
Raising these in advance lets us give you an accurate answer. If a requirement falls outside what our current documents cover, we will say so directly rather than glossing over it.
Requesting the documents
When you enquire, state your destination, sales channel and intended use. We will send the corresponding test reports, material certificates and certification copies together with the quotation, ready for your supplier file.
