Five Bamboo Nodes, Cut in Metal
Wuzhu 2.0 cuts five bamboo nodes into stainless steel, with orange lines marking each boundary. It borrows the form of bamboo, not its material — and that distinction has to be stated first.

Bamboo carries two meanings in Chinese: a plant, and a rhythm. "Rising节 by 节" uses the second one. Wuzhu 2.0 turns that rhythm into five raised segments in metal — and the orange line between each one is where the rhythm becomes visible.
Step by step is structure, not decoration
The five nodes are not a printed pattern. They are real segments left by turning and cutting. Your fingers can find the shallow step between them, and what you hold is an object with a slight rise and fall rather than a smooth cylinder.
The five raised rings on the barrel: each one is a machined segment, not a pattern applied to the surface
One thing should be said plainly: it borrows the form of bamboo, not its material. Bamboo cracks, warps and responds to humidity; this will not, because it is stainless steel. Leaving the meaning to the form and the durability to the metal is what lets both claims hold at once.
Specification and process
| Item | Specification |
| Model | C8-C (twist to retract) |
| Size / weight | 132.8 × 8.0mm | about 16g |
| Material | Stainless steel (barrel, tip and clip as one piece), anodised |
| Tip mechanism | Twist to retract (threaded), no cap |
| Refill | G5/G7 standard refill |
| Colours | Orange, amber gold, glacier blue, pine green, cherry pink, piano black, moonlight silver, titanium grey (8) |
The orange colourway: orange appears only on the lines between nodes and on the tip and tail, while the barrel stays stainless — the colour emphasises the segmentation instead of hiding it
What changed in 2.0
Three things. The magnetic variant was dropped, leaving only the twist mechanism; the clip was redesigned with rounder lines; and the tip section was lengthened to roughly twice that of 1.0, making the whole pen slimmer in proportion.
The consolidation deserves a word of its own. Two variants mean two opening logics to explain, and the user has to remember which one they received. With one in 2.0, "twist and write" became an action that needs no explanation.
The trade-off should be stated. At 8 mm the barrel is thinner than a typical gel pen and needs getting used to; the rise and fall of the nodes is felt in the grip, so it is not a fully smooth cylinder. Anyone who prefers an even barrel should try one first.
In one sentence: Wuzhu 2.0 borrows the rhythm of bamboo, not its material — the five raised segments are there to be seen, the stainless steel is there to survive being used.
